Playa del Carmen is situated about 65 Km south of Cancun, Mexico on the Mayan Riviera. 
Playa del Carmen offers you the enjoyment of a simple beach holiday where the developments are low-rise to suit the local environment and to take advantage of the beautiful view of the area.  The subtropical climate is hot and humid with an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.  November through February is the high tourist season to the area.

Playa del Carmen is a safe lively beach town that attracts people from all over the world to live, work and vacation.   It stretches from the beach to Highway 307, and beyond, however the tourist zone is along the coast.  The beauty of the turquoise Caribbean waters can be seen from almost anywhere in the tourist zone. 

The Mayan Riviera

The Atlantic coastal region on the extreme east of the Yucatan Peninsula of Quintana Roo state of Mexico is referred to as the Mayan Riviera (stretching from Punta Brava just south of the Cancun International Airport to Punta Allen, just south of Tulum).  One of the highlights is the Great Mayan Reef with is the largest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere. The region is a fascinating destination with tropical beaches, ancient ruins, jungle with abundant marine and wildlife, and the mystery of interesting folklore and culture.  The Mayan culture is still alive and thriving in this part of Mexico.  All over the area are small towns and pueblos for you to visit.
